Hyderabad: B/E Airospace, the leading manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior non-metal and metal products has opened a new engineering services unit this year. The company has launched its new unit in the city of Hyderabad.

The facility was inaugurated by Paul Mueller, who holds the business and economic portfolio at the US Consulate. Moreover, Wayne Exton, Vice President, Business Jet Segment, B/E Aerospace, and senior executives of B/E Aerospace, were also present at the inauguration of the new unit at Hyderabad.

The strategic move of the company is very well in sync with the prospects of the engineering services sector. NASSCOM study conducted last year revealed that engineering services sector will be growing from its current rate that is US $8 billion to about US$45 Billion by the year 2020. “India is now the epicentre for global ER&D services with a compelling value proposition based upon growing depth and breadth of services, flexible business models, large engineering base and global footprint with greater proximity to customers”, said NASSCOM President Som Mittal.

B/E Airospace at present manufactures products such as aircraft cabin seating, lighting, oxygen supply line, and food and beverage preparation and storage equipment. The company also provides passenger-to-freighter conversion services currently.
